We are a team of 35 staff and students at Griffith University from varying disciplines such as biological science, engineering, medicine, pathology, veterinary science and education all coming together to create a therapy for spinal cord injury. Our idea is to use cells from the nose (olfactory ensheathing cells) to transplant into the spinal cord to help regenerate the damaged tissue. We are working hard every day to create a real difference. Our work is progressing nicely and we have made some fantastic advances in just a short time. Our next goal is funding for a Rehab trial and a clinical trial.
